Background

Dream Big Community Center (DBCC) is an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2004. The organization was founded due to the lack of support and development young adolescents encountered in Vancouver-Portland Metropolitan area. Dream Big Community Center was created to bring back the value of “community” to neighborhoods; and to allow all people to follow their dreams, no matter what age they may be.

Our Mission Statement is to be an organization to help individuals Dream Big, with a main focus on the youth to discover their dream, and follow in it. DBCC will provide a safe place for youth of all ages to learn beneficial life fundamentals through programs, services, and resources. Dream Big will be a place that youth and adults dream big while having fun, without repercussion or ridicule.

From a child to an adult, to truly learn what an opportunity is may slip through the cracks. Opportunity results in a choice, and choices can lead to problems. Currently, today’s youth are making too many bad choices without the complete understanding of their opportunities, and/or the value of an opportunity that could potentially be good or bad. Somehow there is a missing component, link, and/or translation that does not properly get executed or decoded– and that’s where Dream Big comes in.
