1. What is Dream Big Community Center?

Dream Big Community Center (aka – DBCC) is an organization dedicated to help individuals to have a better quality of life.

2. How long have you been around?

We received our 501c3 in 2007, and launched our programs in 2008.

2. What does DBCC do?

We have programs to educate, encourage, and empower 12 to 18 year olds to pursue their dream. For more information on our programs, click here.

3. Where are your programs located?

Our programs are mobile, so we have implemented our programs in various Vancouver- Portland metro area schools and organizations. To see where, click here.

4. How do your programs work?

All of our programs are customized to meet the needs of the school, organization, or church. We have 20 presentations to curriculum that has been state accredited.

5. Where is your center?

Our center has not been built yet. We have an executive office in Downtown Vancouver at 500 West 8th Street, Suite 18.

6. How are you different than the Boys & Girls Clubs?

DBCC is different because we provide programming to middle and high schools within the classroom. We target teenagers, not boys and girls. When we build our community center, we hope to have a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club to serve our younger youth.

7. How are you funded?

Grants – 9%
Corporate – 28%
Private – 63%

8. What ages do you serve?

Our programs serve 12 to 18 year olds.

9. How come I haven’t heard of you before?

We haven’t marketed our programs. Our focus is intervention. Therefore, our priority has been to ensure our programs work seamlessly with schools and youth-serving organizations.

10. What will your center look like?

The community center will serve the community as a whole through educational, social, and recreational programs.

11. How can I help?

There are numerous ways you can help us. We have several opportunities through programs, fundraising, and events. Our most immediate need is our Make Every Dream Count campaign. Click here to learn more.
