To continue to use this as our fundraiser platform, we need 50 different donors to contribute $4,000. This is for our Make Every Dream Count campaign, which is to provide middle school and high school students in the Vancouver-Portland Metro area an opportunity to identify, build, and live their dream.

Enter payment options.

Enter billing information.

Checkout

For every donation, 5% of the proceeds will go to Hayes Freedom High School ASB in Camas, WA. This was our very first school that gave us the opportunity to help youth.

To live the “American Dream” is what the United States is known for. As Americans, we all have that opportunity. No matter what age, race, gender, or any other difference- you can live your dream.

However, as a global community we all have big ambitions, goals, and dreams. Everyone should, right?! So why aren’t we all living it, right?

It is because one little word… that word is, rejection. Rejection may be defined as a negative word, but it can also be defined to:

Inspire

Problem solve

Encourage you to get help

Try again

It should never ever discourage you to think you’re a failure- or even worse, for you to stop your dream!

As the founder (that’s me to the right), I founded this organization in 2004. Dream Big Community Center was started as a small goal with no identity, nor any money in the bank. We had very little supporters and a lot of naysayers. Matter of fact, the wall behind me is my rejection wall.

My rejection wall has all my official denial letters from grants and donations from reputable organizations. I look at it every day to serve as a reminder of how important our work is to our youth and the community. The reason why we’re still around is because I didn’t give up. If I would have given up, I would have missed out on all my supporters and smiling young faces.

Do Not Give Up!

We all want to make a difference in someone’s life or multiple lives. There are so many options from different organizations to causes. One can be inundated with plethora of choices:

Leave a legacy

Help the homeless

Feed the poor

Save an “at-risk” youth

Repair our eco-system

Cure diseases

Well, we have one more to add to the list: Help people live their dreams. Right now, the goal is to help students from 12 to 18 year old. However, our mission is to help all age groups. If you want to help us with our immediate or even our long-term goal, please give us a call or email, info@dreambigcc.org.

A simple misconception is that we all have dreams. An even more common misconception is that dreams are not attainable. Aren’t dreams multiple goals stringed together that requires dedication, commitment, and hard work? If the answer is yes then we should all be “living the dream”. If not, why do you not have a dream?

To follow a dream is along the lines as following your heart. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done. Many people of all ages don’t know what their dream is. Why is this? Without dreams of something better than what you currently possess, attain, or achieve, life is less enjoyable.

Dream Big Community Center was started as a small goal with no identity, nor any money in the bank. We had very little supporters and a lot of naysayers, but it did not matter because our dream was to educate, encourage, and empower all age groups to pursue their dreams. Our heart is to help others live an enjoyable life through accomplishing their dreams.

We only exist because of the dedication and donations of a few volunteers for multiple years. Now, our dream is coming true because we continue to do three simple steps. Those three steps are: 1) write down goals, 2) find supporters, and 3) take steps to make it a reality. Stay steadfast and don’t give up. You can achieve your goals with determination and hard work.

A parent will do everything in their power to protect and help their kids to have a long, successful life. From birth, we coddle babies in warmth, love, and a nurturing environment. As they get older to their teen years, we punish them for bad behavior and reward them for good behavior. In young adult years, we provide them with many opportunities to being a successful self-sufficient individual.

No parent wants their child to be caught up in:

Drugs

Sexual activity

Gangs

Criminal Activity

Death

How do we protect your future generation from the above, Prevention or Intervention? The correct answer is: both. One is not more important than the other. Our youth need both. One without the other is a recipe for disaster. Here are some examples:

Why teach children to read if they’re going to spray graffiti on your house 10 years later?

Why provide impoverished students with tutors if they cannot afford college?

Why mentor the child if their home is abusive and neglectful?

Why coach a sports team if none of them are going professional?

If you play it as a game:

Intervention is Defense.

Prevention is Offense.

Opportunity is a goal.

Living the dream is the championship trophy.

No loser.
