Our programs promote two words, “Dream Big!” These two words have so much meaning, but no direction or guidance how to make the dream a reality. Unfortunately, not every teenager has a dream. We focus on young adolescents for two reasons. First, data shows adolescent brain’s frontal lobe is not fully developed. For a dream, it is the hub of decision making, social behavior, goal setting, initiative, and perseverance. Secondly, an intervention may be all that is needed to make a difference in a youth’s life. Dream Big’s Programs are designed to facilitate the frontal lobe development, and give them the needed attention to assist them in fulfilling the heart’s passion.
Our approach has the following pedagogy:
- Learning objectives designed to make the dream tangible
- Goal setting processes with timelines
- Educating of hobby, job, and career
- Financial literacy
- Post-secondary education pathways
- Involvement of immediate family
Our programs are delivered in the following ways:
- Large audience
- In-school classrooms
- Small group workshops
- One-on-one sessions
We are unique and successful because we focus on intervention for all socioeconomic backgrounds. All teenagers are “at-risk” of being involved in drugs, criminal activity, and sex during the ages of 12 to 18. We make it our job to educate students and inform them of the benefits of pursuing their dream, and help them understand the consequences if they choose not to follow their heart.
Programs can be customized to meet the needs of the students. To receive more information about our programs, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
